Fall ball tryouts are currently tentatively scheduled as follows:

GOLD TEAM TRYOUTS

Aug. 15 and Aug. 22

Valley Christian High School

Start Time: 12:00 pm - Pitchers & Catchers

 1:00 pm - All Others

The South Bay Stars will also be holding tryouts for fall ball for 10u, 12u, 14u, 16u, and 18u teams!

The Lady Sharks Gold - Stars were very successful this summer season placing all of their available seniors into college level softball programs. We expect to fill as many as 10 positions for fall. All positions will be open for new players. Come join a great organization with an outstanding history of placing players into colleges.

Here is a recent email we received from a college coach regarding our program:

"Hi Rob,

You are so awesome.  Thanks for this email.  It helps me a bunch and I will definitely get out and watch you this next week. 

You are the one and only travel coach that makes me think maybe I could coach travel ball one day if I moved away from college ball.  Your dignity, honesty, integrity all make me think there is a possibility in travel ball to be about more than winning. 

I truly applaud your advocacy of girls who play for you.  I sure do hope once in a blue moon, you get a thank you card, email, phone call.

LADY SHARKS MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

I am extremely happy to announce that the Lady Sharks Gold - Piper team and South Bay Stars organization have merged together.  This merge will allow our team to combine with a number of younger (12u, 14, 16u) teams and  provide them a nationally recognized Gold team. We will continue to use our current name for the short future as we transition to the new organization. The entire staff will stay on also and assist the younger programs grow.

The South Bay Stars are a newer organization to the softball community but they will provide to us the use of their 17,0000 (3 story) square foot indoor hitting and pitching facility in downtown San Jose. Additionally they have a full workout area, running lanes, a speed and conditioning coach, professional pitching coach and multiple meeting rooms. 

Our entire coaching staff felt that the South Bay Stars are a terrific organization and we are privileged to be able to join them. You can see more about them, their staff, tryouts, lessons etc. on their web site:

Jessica Barrett has officially signed her National Letter of Intent to play softball at D1 - Colorado State University under Coach Mary Yori. Congratulations to Jessica!

    I wanted to let you know that I have talked to the coach at Colorado State and I will be signing to play for CSU after the Colorado tournament! Thank you both so much for all the help you have given me and all the encouragment through this difficult and scary process! Dear Rob, Tim, Terry, and Alan,

I signed my letter to go play at Cal State Monterey Bay next year. I am very excited to be playing softball in college, at a great school here in California. I wanted to thank you all for everything you have done to make my dream of playing in college come true. Your advice, encouragement, and support through this confusing process was unbelievable helpful and I couldn’t have done it without your guidance. You spend so much time and effort interacting with college coaches on our behalf. The constant support, advice, and encouragement from the team, gave me the drive to continue to pursue my dream. Thank you again coaches and also all Sharks Gold players.
